This is the brand created for the Shoulder of Mutton, a rural countryside pub, during a period when the villagers banded together to renovate the building and recreate the lively atmosphere.

The final logo design, in its various forms

The task to design the logo for an identity still being formed presented an interesting challenge. But, with research on similar pubs and taking inspiration from the building – the brown used is inspired by the colour of its oak beams – I aimed to replicate the pub’s cosy atmosphere. This final logo was chosen after a short presentation to the marketing team, and was well-received by the new patrons.

After designing the logo, other tasks included designing posters, flyers, business cards, and website and social media assets, following the same brand identity.

In early 2020, we achieved our objective of successfully re-launching the pub to attract a new permanent owner.
