In summer 2019, the community came together to restore and reopen the village pub, pooling together resources and knowledge. As a member of the pub's marketing team, creating the logo was the first of many tasks over the six months.
This is the final logo chosen by the pub, and was used by the Shoulder of Mutton during the six month period the village ran the pub, and to my delight, was received very positively. It was also an important part of the pub's exposure on social media, particularly our Facebook page, which gained an impressive following. The brush font and colour scheme emphasises elegance, and the friendliness that reflects the warm atmosphere and countryside setting.
From summer 2019 to early 2020, I made various materials such as the New Year's Eve poster and ticket. The logo has also made its mark, being crafted into the bar itself and printed on aprons, which have been sold to many in the village as a memento of the time when the community worked together to reopen the local pub.
